The college was established 2014. The idea of establishing Mamre Agriculture and Livestock College came after launching of INUKA REHABILITAION CENTER SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS CBR WANGING’OMBE for rehabilitation of disabled children of Njombe, Mbeya and nearby regions. INUKA REHABILITATION CENTER tried to equip families with disabled children by providing agricultural inputs but it’s support failed and then INUKA REHABILITATION CENTER came with ideas of agricultural and livestock education provision.
The college is located in Mayale village, land for college building was provided by government of Mayale village. The village and near areas are challenged of high youth Unemployment rate and poverty. They requested to the Roman Catholic Church for support to establishment a facility to address the challenge.
The Roman Catholic Church Diocese of Njombe agreed to support the community by establishing a college which will offer long and short courses in Agriculture, Livestock, Environment and Information Technology.
