JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT LECTURER, LECTURER OR SENIOR LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF BIOSTATISTICS AND EPIDEMIOLOGY
Nature of Employment: Full time
Required qualification:
Assistant Lecturer: Holder of Master’s Degree in Applied Statistics and Epidemiology, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics or in Biostatistics with a GPA of 3.5 and above from a recognize University and at least 3 years of experience in the relevant position
Lecturer: Holder of PhD in Applied Statistics and Epidemiology, PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, PhD in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics or PhD in Biostatistics from recognized Institution with at least 2 Publication points in Peer Reviewed Journals and at least 3 years of experience in teaching Institution or Research
Senior Lecturer: Holder of PhD in Applied Statistics and Epidemiology, PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, PhD in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics or PhD in Biostatistics with 5 publication points since the award of PhD and 3 years of teaching or research experience.
Other skills
Fluent in both written and spoken Swahili and English.
Good Computer skills.
Excellent communications, presentational and organizational skills.
Personal organization and planning skills.
Capable of rigorous analytical approach and results oriented.
Adaptability, Flexible and stress resistant.
The ability to work in a team and independently.
The ability to work under minimum supervision.
