About Management and Development for Health (MDH)
MDH evolved from the former Harvard-PEPFAR program in Tanzania which was a collaboration of Harvard School of Public Health(HSPH), Dar es Salaam City council and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS). This collaboration worked with the Government to provide HIV care and treatment services mainly in Dar es Salaam city starting with Mnazi Mmoja and Infectious Disease clinics in 2004. The program expanded to cover 65% of health facilities with HIV care and treatment services in Dar es Salaam city by mid 2009. MDH was registered as a local Tanzanian Non Profit Organization (NGO) in 2009.
Afya kwanza project is implemented in six regions.The project supports about 450,000 clients in 755 facilities.The project supports care and treatments and Lab services.
Health Information System (HIS)is a 5-year PEPFAR-CDC funded project that aims at integrating, strengthening and improving the existing HIS and HIV services databases in Tanzania
Global Fund TB is a five-year program undertaken in Tanzania and supported by the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
USAID Boresha Afya is a five-year program undertaken in Tanzania and supported by the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
National Health Laboratory Services is a 5-years PEPFAR-CDC funded project that aims to strengthen operations and improve quality of health laboratory services in Tanzania
