Oxfam in Tanzania envisions empowered citizens with reduced poverty, reduced inequality and injustice with especially women and young people having access to resources and a good quality of life. We want to see evidence of citizens being more aware of and demanding their rights to resources and essential services. We also want to see less policy incoherence and positive changes at national level (policy) and community level (practices, perceptions, ideas and beliefs).

The Role
Oxfam GB in Tanzania is looking for a Programme Partnership Officer who will ensure that specialised technical and thematic information are available to all projects and that the projects meets the highest standards

The Person
To be successful in this role, you will have the following;
 An under-graduate qualification in Development studies, Food security & Livelihoods, Rural Development, Agriculture, communication, project management, statistics or any related discipline relevant to the requirements or experiences in managing partnership and livelihoods programmes could substitute for a formal qualification).
 A minimum of four years’ relevant experience working in the field of community or rural development or livelihoods and partnership driven programmes.
 Understanding of the political, economic, social and cultural environments impacting on rural livelihoods in Tanzania particularly in the coastal and southern part of Tanzania with proven understanding and experience with fishing and extractives industries communities.
 Support the engagement of partners including contracting, planning, monitoring and management of the partners working in the area.
 Develop key partnerships with the Government of Tanzania and other stakeholders including private sector actors.
 Excellent management skills and experience of managing partners and contracts with confidence and experience in external representation.
