About Property and Business Formalization Program – MKURABITA
PBFP or MKURABITA (as it is known in Kiswahili) is an initiative of theGovernment of the United Republic of Tanzania supported by ILD. The main purposeof the programme is to empower the poor majority in the population in Tanzania byincreasing their access to finance and other services by formalisation of their propertyrights and businesses. Formalisation of their property rights and businesses isassumed to give the their properties and businesses protection under a national legalframework as well as allow them access to markets and services currently onlyavailable to larger scale formalised business and property holders
