Job Purpose
The role holder will be responsible for supporting stakeholders in financial and non-financial planning and performance monitoring of the bank. This involves periodic analysis and production of informed reports that articulates opportunities or risks that may impact financial or non-financial KPI delivery.
To support in forecasting and proactively engage with stakeholders in tactical solutions that ensures the banks achieve its plan sustainably.
Main Responsibilities:
Strategy Planning
Provide strategic lead to the organization stakeholders to achieve the bank’s mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives. This includes planning, organizing, and taking accountability for the team’s performance and delivery.
Coordinate strategy build-up (Medium-Term & Short-Term), articulate strategic initiatives, set objectives, KPIs, and quantify impact financial impact of the initiatives.
Ensure that strategic insights and ambitions are communicated effectively across the organization, enabling staff to engage with the bank’s vision, mission and values and informing their own work planning and delivery.
Support the alignment of departmental goals, processes, and resource allocation with the organizational strategy.
Proactively & periodically coordinate tactical plans based on observed threat and opportunities.
Analysis & Stakeholder support
Produce periodic and/or ad-hoc reports on progress of key strategic initiatives.
Present findings, projections, and recommended actions.
Ensure that the organization’s decision making is informed by the best available and appropriate level of evidence, demonstrating a commitment to evidencing outcomes and learning from experience.
Conduct research and analysis of operational effectiveness and processes.
Regularly assess and manage problems and risks to Bank and to develop a range of possible solutions and responses.
Prepare papers, reports and presentations for internal and external meetings including senior management meetings & executive team. To attend, and contribute to meetings, briefings, reviews, due diligence and auditing and compliance activities.
Support the team in identifying and grabbing new opportunities in the market through market insight reports, proposal crafting, pricing and any ad-hoc that requires attention.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to identify strategic needs, lead all aspects of planning with sound business recommendations, and generate alignment with key business partners
Track record of experience managing and mentoring with high integrity and the ability to inspire others
Experience navigating large and complex organizations, including gaining access to key executives and stakeholders and successfully managing relationship building dynamics and processes
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills that encompass clear and compelling communications
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in BCom, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, IT & Computer sciences, Mathematics or other related fields; MBA preferred but not essential
CPA qualification is an added advantage
At least 6 years in Product Management, Business or Strategic planning, Analytics & MI, or Accounting, with at least 3 of these in a managerial position.
