Absa Bank Limited (Absa) is one of the top 4 banks in South Africa. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Barclays Africa Group. ABSA Learnerships are opened for application from all interested candidates. Absa’s services include private; corporate; business; investment and retail banking, as well as wealth management products. The bank operates in South Africa and Namibia.

Programme Requirements
Interested candidates who want to apply for this learnership position should ensure that they meet the following criteria;
Candidates between the ages of 18 and 30. All candidates must include a detailed curriculum vitae with contact details, contactable references as well as any information they feel may be pertinent to their application. Please also include certified copies of all relevant certificates, ID, and proof of address no older than three months. Candidates must be permanent South African residents and citizens.
Candidates will also be required to have the following:
- Matric
- Accounting or Mathematics
- English, read, write and speak
- Ability to communicate with clients
- Computer literate
- Be self-motivated and a team player
- Flexibility with a commitment to learn, but also have a willingness to work
Previous banking knowledge will be advantageous. Experience within the retail sector will also be of an advantage.
Candidates who apply will also be checked for the following:
- Any and all credit records
- Criminal record
- Any registered employees dismissal processes
- References with previous employers
- Any falsification of documentation

Absa Learnership Stipend
When you register for a Learnership you will be paid in the form of a stipend. This means you will be paid monthly while you are on the entire learnership.
