The Glencore Learnerships is encouraging candidates to attain basic and advanced Engineering skills courses that better prepare your for the industry ahead. Throughout the learnership, you will be entrusted with basic artisan work responsibilities that exposes you to the practical aspects of the work. By cooperating with other team members, you’ll get first-hand experience on what it’s like working in a real-time company.
The Glencore Learnerships is currently available for the following fields:
- Boilermaker – Ref. 28475
- Electrical – Ref. 28481
- Fitting – Ref. 28477
- Instrumentation – Ref. 28476
Programme Requirements
Interested candidates who want to apply for this learnership position should ensure that they meet the following criteria
- Matric with relevant trade N2 or N3
- Mathematics and Science
- English, read, write and speak
- Computer literate
- Candidates must not have a permanent employment
- Be self-motivated and a team player
- Must be medically fit
- Flexibility with a commitment to learn, but moreover willingness to work
- Must undergo an aptitude test / psychometric assessment
Candidates who apply will also be checked for the following:
- Any and all credit records
- All criminal record
- Any registered employees dismissal processes
- All references with previous employers
- Any falsification of documentation
