Law Enforcement Learnership Opportunities Available At Department Is Open. The Department of Public Works Roads and Transport has opportunities for Learnership Programme in Road Traffic Law Enforcement NQF Level 4, Ref: RTLE – 2022 for the period of twelve (12) consecutive months (one year).
Interested unemployed youth are invited to apply for the above mentioned opportunities
Programme Requirements
Interested candidates who want to apply for this learnership position should ensure that they meet the following criteria
- The applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old and unemployed. ·
- Authentic Grade 12 certificate
- Valid driver’s licence
- Proof of residence
- No criminal record
- Applicants must be physically fit
- Applications must be accompanied by a completed Z83 form with relevant reference number, brief CV, certified copies of qualification(s) and ID
Participants will undergo an interview, medical test examination and criminal record checks. Participants will undergo both theory and practical training for one (1) year upon signing of a one year (1) year contract.

About Law enforcement
Law enforcement services in South Africa are the responsibility of the Ministry of Police. The National Police Commissioner answers directly to the Minister of Police. SAPS is South Africa’s principal law enforcement body, responsible for investigating crime, and maintaining safety and security throughout the country.
The Department of Police is responsible for law-enforcement services, policy determination, direction and overall execution of the department’s mandate in relation to relevant legislation. The Minister of Police is responsible for determining national policing policy (Section 206 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa of 1996) and the overall execution of the department’s mandate, in relation to the key pieces of legislation.
