Prasa Learnership Programme
The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) is a state-owned enterprise responsible for most passenger rail services in the country.
It consists of four branches: Metrorail, which operates commuter rail services in urban areas; Shosholoza Meyl, which operates regional and intercity rail services; Autopax, which operates regional and intercity coach services; and Intersite, which manages the property owned by PRASA.

Programme Requirements
Interested candidates who want to apply for this learnership position should ensure that they meet the following criteria

- You must not have partaken in any other learnership prior to this application
- A valid Grade 12 / Martic certification
- Must be between 18 and 35 years of age
- Must hold a diploma or degree in the relevant field (where applicable)

About Prasa
PRASA is established in terms of Section 22 of the Legal Succession to the South African Transport Services Act on 2008 (as amended). It is a public entity wholly-owned by Government and report to the Minister of Transport. The legal mandate directs PRASA to deliver commuter rail services in the Metropolitan areas of South Africa, long-distance (inter-city) rail and bus services within, to and from the borders of the Republic of South Africa. This mandate is implemented in consultation with and under the guidance of the Minister of Transport.
