SAIPA Learnership Programme
Are you in possession of a university degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, IT or Business Administration, have no experience and have been unemployed for at least 12 months?
SAIPA, in collaboration with Services Seta, has a learnership opportunity for you in the fields of Accounting and Business Advisory. The 12-month learnership includes intensive work readiness and workplace skills development and is available to South African unemployed graduates in the Gauteng area*.

Programme Requirements
Interested candidates who want to apply for this learnership position should ensure that they meet the following criteria
- A completed or partially completed financial accounting degree with the intention to qualify as a professional accountant.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, and fluency in English – the ability to communicate in Afrikaans is a plus but not a must.
- Computer literacy, with a good knowledge of Pastel, MS Word and MS Excel.

SAIPA Learnership Stipend
When you register for a Learnership you will be paid in the form of a stipend. This means you will be paid monthly while you are on the entire learnership.

About SAIPA
The South African Institute of Professional Accountants is a professional association of accountants based in South Africa. As of 2019, the institute claims to have more than 10,000 members. SAIPA represents qualified Professional Accountants in practice, commerce and industry, academia and the public sector.
SAIPA is a professional body registered with South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) and has a number of registered professional designations.
In 1995 SAIPA became a full member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), and today is one of only two accountancy bodies in South Africa that are full members.
In terms of the Tax Administration Act 28 of 2011, South African Revenue Service (SARS) will only register members of approved professional bodies as tax practitioners. Only registered tax practitioners may provide advice with respect to the application of a tax law, and complete or assists in completing a return for another person or company. SAIPA is a SARS recognised controlling body of the tax profession in South Africa.
SAIPA has a Centre of Tax Excellence (CoTE) for tax practitioners who practice and specialise in the field of taxation.
