SASSA Learnership Programme
SASSA has a limited amount of leadership fields for you to consider. Here is a list of their leadership career fields below, however, there may be other fields not mentioned, and once applications open these will be advertised on the SASSA Website.

- Supply Chain Management
- Disability Management
- Accounting
- Public Administration
Learnerships made available by SASSA will be for a 12-month duration unless otherwise stipulated. Every leadership provides a monthly allowance, yet, you will be responsible for your own transport, meals, and accommodation. Learnerships provided by SASSA does not guarantee a permanent position but if there is an opening in this Government Department they may offer it to deserving candidates upon completion of their leadership.
Programme Requirements
Interested candidates who want to apply for this learnership position should ensure that they meet the following criteria
- Applicants must be a citizen of South Africa or have valid work and possess an Identity Card.
- You must not have partaken in any other learnership prior to this application
- A valid Grade 12 / Martic certification
- Must be between 18 and 35 years of age
- Must hold a diploma or degree in the relevant field (where applicable)
- Proof of residence
- They must be unemployed and do not have any intention to take any full-time study during the learnership program
- They must be within the productive age range who need Experimental Training
- If they have taken a higher degree previously, they need to study at a recognized and reputable institution in South Africa

Application Dates
The Opening and closing dates vary depending on the position available. Applicants are reminded to ensure that they submit their application early the better. SASSA will not tolerate any late application. Closing Date is available on the vacancies portal.
SASSA Learnership Stipend
When you register for a Learnership you will be paid in the form of a stipend. This means you will be paid monthly while you are on the entire learnership.

About SASSA
South African Social Security (SASSA) agency is a South African’s government that is set up to provide the opportunity to the unemployed youth or the unfortunate people to take part in the program. The agency provides SASSA learnership program to regulate and control social grants distribution. The program itself started in 2005 and it has gone through for more than a decade. Their main functions are to ensure the right people receive social grants of sufficient amounts at a specified time and in an area or method that is easily accessible by each person.
