Our Programmes will expose you to corporate, personal and leadership development, and give you in-depth exposure to our business.
Volkswagen Group South Africa’s Graduate Trainee Programme is your opportunity to explore the dynamic world of vehicle manufacturing. We place talented Graduates in full-time employment, in our 11-month Graduate Trainee Programme. Whilst on the programme you will be exposed to corporate, personal and leadership development, which will allow you to get to grips with the working world and lay a solid foundation for a successful career. On successful completion, you will transfer to a full-time role in the Division you were recruited for.
Graduate Trainee Programme Requirements

The Graduate Trainee Programme is open to all South African citizens. The requirements differ each year depending on business needs. Typically we recruit students who possess University Diplomas/Degrees in the following fields:
- Engineering
- Sales and Marketing
- Finance
- Information Technology
- Human Resources
- Purchasing
- Logistics
While academic qualifications are essential to achieve great heights in our industry we also look for the following qualities:
- Leadership, problem-solving, big-picture thinking, and networking skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing world of innovation and creativity.

- Applications are submitted online
- Applicants that possess the desired qualifications and above-average academic results will be shortlisted for the various positions
- The selection process will include a screening interview, cognitive assessment and final assessment day at the Volkswagen Group South Africa plant.
- Candidates who are successful in the above-mentioned steps will then be made formal offers to join Volkswagen Group South Africa!

VW learnerships Stipend
When you register for a Learnership you will be paid in the form of a stipend. This means you will be paid monthly while you are on the entire learnership.
