About Mangosuthu University of Technology MUT Faculty of Natural Sciences
The Faculty of Natural Sciences is one of the three faculties at MUT and is made up of eight departments in the various disciplines of the natural sciences that provides students with career oriented skills through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the work place.
The faculty is a pioneer in the fields of Nature Conservation and Environmental. It was the first, amongst other Universities of Technology, to offer the Advanced Diploma in Nature Conservation and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health. From 2017 the faculty will offer a Master’s programme in Nature Conservation, a first for a University of Technology in South Africa.
