Accommodation and Transport
Nurse’s home is available but rooms are limited. Students are allocated on the basis of first come first serve.
The school does not provide transport services. The Sub-Campus does not provide transport services. Transport is the responsibility of the student to see that she/he reports to both classroom and clinical areas on time.
Student Support and Medical Services
Students are allowed to nominate and elect their own Student Representative Council (SRC). The SRC is a strong link between students and Campus / College Management. Students are permitted to use the health service that is free to all South Africans.
Jobs and Careers
On completion of the programme, opportunities are created for students to look for employment. There are also career pathing. An access programme is available for students from ENA and EN programme.
Bridging course also available from EN to RN programme.
Outreach Programmes
This is done through various community projects, such as:
- TB health awareness campaigns
- Community-based education (CBE)
- The Sub-Campus works in collaboration with the clinical services, such as the hospitals and clinics in PHC – outreach programmes
