The University of Dodoma (UDOM) is selected among world’s top Universities to
host local edition of Hult Prize as students answer the United Nations Challenge and
go head-to-head for US$ 1M.
About HULT PRIZE UDOM Challenge
HULT PRIZE UDOM Challenge is a student lead (lead by the official appointed
HULT PRIZE Campus Director) event under the coordination of the UDOM
Innovation Spaces and Incubation Centre (UDOISIC). The HULT PRIZE UDOM
Challenge is a local edition of the world’s largest competition run by HultPrize in
partnership with United Nations, hosting College and University events around the
world in search of the next game changing start up.

Objective of the HultPrize UDOM Challenge 2018/19
The Challenge aims at creating the best engine of social entrepreneurs worldwide by
inspiring and motivating youth to engage themselves in social entrepreneurship in
which they can turn social challenges to profitable ventures and be able to earn
income and create jobs for others.
Specifically, this year’s competition aims to have student “create a venture or a
business idea or an idea that can provide 10000 meaningful jobs to youth within
the next decade.
The winner of the intra – campus event will automatically advance to compete in
one of the fifteen regional finals. In our case, the winner will proceed to Nairobi in
April 19th – 20th
. The winning team will then proceed to summer business accelerator
in Ash ridge, United Kingdom in July 2019 for the whole one month and half where
the participants will receive free mentorship, advisory and strategic planning as they
create prototypes and set up to launch their new social business. A final round of
competition will be hosted in New York at United Nation’s headquarters in
September where the winner will be awarded $1,000,000 prize.

o Must be a team of 3 or 4 students.
o The team must have a name.
o Current student at University of Dodoma (Bachelor, Masters, and PhD).
o UDOM Alumni, Faculty or staff are NOT eligible.
