About Babati District Council (DC)
Babati District Council is one of the seven councils in Manyara region. 403 of October 1, 1985. It became independent in July 1986 as a District. In September 2004 Babati District Council was further divided into two Councils to form Babati District Council and Babati Town Council

Improve service delivery and service quality by utilizing adequate and efficient resources
Basic Values
Residents of Babati District Council maintain values by following the traditions and customs of the respective cultures. Traditional elders stand as mediators and advisers on all social issues, denounce false traditions that oppress women and children. Examples of such practices are FGM and land grabbing, traditional elders provide relevant education and provide information when a problem arises. These leaders maintain peace and condemn evil deeds
