About Kilombero District Council (DC)
Kilombero District is a district of Morogoro Region, southwestern Tanzania.
The district is located in a large floodplain, between the Kilombero River southeast and the Mountains
It will be closed in the northwest. On the other side of the Kilombero River is part of Ulanga District.
According to the last census in 2012, the population of Kilombero District is 407,880
The tribes are the Pogoro, Wandamba, Wabena, and Wambunga and several others in small groups
rural and Ifakara district headquarters as major settlements. Most of the villagers are farmers
small amounts of maize and rice. There are large teak plantations in Kilombero and the districts of
neighbors of Ulanga. In the northwest of the district, the sugar plantations of the Sugar Company
The Sugar Company occupies most of the lower parts.
