About Mpanda District Council (DC)

Mpanda District Council was established in 1983 and was located in the Rukwa region. In 2012 Mpanda district was divided into Mlele and Mpanda districts. Katavi Region was established in 2012 after splitting Mpanda district council into 3 districts and 5 district councils. The districts are Mpanda district which has 2 district councils which are Mpanda Municipal Council and Nsimbo District Council.

Mlele District has 2 councils which are Mlele District Council and Mpimbwe District Council. Tanganyika District has 1 council which is Mpanda district council (mother council).

Mpanda District Council is committed to providing quality and quality services in serving its citizens as well as Tanzanians in need of services.

The vision of Mpanda district council is to be effective in managing and implementing community projects and paying money based on job value.

• Tanganyika District Council staff shall discharge their responsibilities efficiently, diligently with discipline and honesty.
• Tanganyika District Council staff shall avoid personal conflict of interest in Council business, shall exercise self-commitment and shall abide to the rule of law when executing their duties.
• Tanganyika District Council staff shall be fair, open, truthful, and honest and shall conduct their duties in such a manner that will protect the Council’s integrity.
• Tanganyika District Council staff shall fully participate in all Councils activities for the betterment of the Council.
• Sexual relationship among Tanganyika District Council staff who are not spouses or any person who has direct interest with the council is strictly prohibited.
• Tanganyika District Council staff shall abide to the requirements of their respective code of act No. 8 of 1982, section 20A of act No. 10 of 1982, public service code of conductors and any other legislation which govern public service affairs.
• Tanganyika District Council staff shall deliver their services to the community without any stigma to people living with HIV / AIDS and people with disabilities
