VODACOM M-PESA CUSTOMERS TO BENEFIT FROM ‘IMEITIKA CAMPAIGN’

Vodacom Tanzania has launched a new campaign dubbed ‘M-Pesa Imeitia’ that aims to encourage Tanzanians to use M-Pesa digital services for transactions, insurance, health, lending, and saving International money transfers, and more for inclusion.

Speaking at the launch event, Vodacom Tanzania, Head of M-Pesa Business Development and Marketing, Tulisindo Rashid said,

“We have the vision to lead Tanzania into a digital age and transform lives through technology and we are achieving this by pushing for a cashless digital economy and pushing financial inclusion to ensure all Tanzanians can access digital services,”

The ‘M-Pesa Imeitika’ campaign will give out daily, weekly and grand prizes to customers who will take advantage of the new reduced service levy to make M-Pesa transactions as well as use other M-Pesa services such as Vodabima, M-Pesa Visa card and much more.

“Customers stand a chance to win lots of prizes by using M-Pesa digital services and doing any M-Pesa transactions such as sending money locally and internationally and paying bills.

Prizes to be won include, Bajaj, Bodaboda, free full tank fuel, free insurance cover for three months rewarded instantly, and a grand prize of a newly constructed house worth 100m/- in Dar es Salaam at the end of the promo”

The Vodacom Tanzania M-Pesa platform has been at the forefront of innovation since it was launched in the country in 2008.

Since then it has paved the way in providing services from cash remittances due to its convenience and security.

It grew into a popular method for business transactions as well.

Vodacom then innovated in partnership to introduce new services such as Songesha, and M-Pawa. Social groups are using M-Koba to reach their goals.

The campaign was flagged off with one of the campaign attractions, ‘Wese’.

With the Wese competition, drivers who purchase any insurance product through VodaBIMA stand to win 20,000/- worth of fuel at participating fuel stations and 10 lucky drivers will be awarded full tanks.
